FAQ

What is My Equi Art?
My Equi Art creates portraits and fine art posters of horses. Every piece is handmade and unique, made out of photos of your horse by our artist, Me,  Amalia Thoors.

Artistic Expression
I picture myself walking out on a large field of green grass. On a distance i spot a horse eating. Turning its head towards me, I recognise the look. The markings, the ears. It's her. It's your horse!

My Equi Art is my artistic expression of your beloved horse. I work with an abstract minimalistic design and limit my options by using dual tone only. Hence, faded and blurred areas are represented as if from a distance.  My works mission is to capture the impression, personality and soul of your horse and should not be confused with a detailed realistic portrait.

For examples and to avoid avoid any misunderstanding, check out our Instagram!

How does it work?
1. Click on "Order poster"
2. Choose which size you want on the poster and the frame of your choice
3. Fill out your horse's name and any other info. For example year of birth, pedigree, or owner.
4. Upload 1-3 frontal pictures of the horse. You must clearly see any markings and the head shape. The picture should be taken as parallel to the nose spine as possible. The more frontal and clear picture, the more alike the portrait will be of your horse.
5. Add to cart and click “Continue shopping” if you want to add another horse, or continue to “Check out”.
6. Once the order is placed, our artist will start drawing your horse with its unique characteristics.

What size are the posters?
My Equi Art is available in three sizes:
70 x 100 centimeters (27.6 x 39.4 inches)
50x70 centimeters (19.7 x 27.6 inches)
30x40 centimeters (11.8 x 15.7 inches).
